Soundi Privacy Policy

Soundi - Production Sound is made by Nour Halawani, 71 Rifa'ah Al-Ansari Street, Amman, Jordan ("we"). Contact: nourhalawaniapps@gmail.com.

1. The short version

We do not collect your data. Soundi has no account, no ads and no analytics, and it sends nothing to us. Your scripts, schedules, call sheets, photos and notes stay on your devices. We only receive something if you email us.

2. What stays with you, not us

Soundi stores your projects on your device: screenplays, shooting schedules, call sheets, characters, mic and rig plans, notes, location recce records and photos, and crew details. We never receive them, never see your script, and cannot recover them.

You, or the production you work for, decide what goes into a project and who it is shared with. For that data, you or the production are responsible under data-protection law, including getting consent to photograph people and, for minors, their parents or guardians.

3. Reading scripts and suggestions

Every step that reads a screenplay or schedule runs on your device. No language model is reached over the internet. Where your device supports it, Soundi can use Apple's on-device model, or on a Mac a model that runs only on that Mac, to suggest sound effects. Suggestions are only proposals until you accept them. The text is not sent to us or to any other company.

4. Where your project data goes

• Crew sync (your own network). If you switch crew sync on, your Mac or iPad announces itself on the local network and phones you invite connect to it directly. There is no server and no internet connection. Each request is encrypted with the invited person's own key. The announcement on the network can be seen by other devices on that network.
• Crew phones you invite. An invited phone can read the parts of the plan you share: today's scenes, characters and their rigs, mic and transmitter plans, notes, and reduced-size copies of recce and cast photos. The script itself, the shooting schedule file and the call sheets are not sent. A phone can send back changes, notes and placement photos. You can remove a phone's access at any time.
• Looksi link. If you link Soundi with the Looksi costume app on the same network, Soundi can read the costume team's character and cast names, costume notes, looks and look photos (with location and camera data removed). It cannot read anything else from Looksi. Nothing goes to us.
• A shared folder you choose. If you keep a project in Dropbox, iCloud Drive, Google Drive or similar, that provider stores it under its own privacy policy. Soundi only reads and writes files on your device.
• Backups. On iPhone and iPad, the app's Documents folder is included in iCloud and computer backups, under Apple's policies.
• Files you export or send. Excel and PDF exports go wherever you save or send them.

5. Camera, photos and local network

• Camera: used only to scan a crew invitation QR code and to take placement photos you choose to attach.
• Photos: photos you import or take are stored in the project. Photos shared with crew phones are reduced in size. Original photos you import may contain location and camera data; remove it first if that matters to you.
• Local network: used only for crew sync and the Looksi link described above.

6. What we receive, and only if you choose

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you. We do not use your email for anything else.

7. Purchases

Soundi has no purchases at present. If purchases or subscriptions are added, they will go through Apple. Apple handles payment and shares no payment details with us. We will update this policy before that happens.

8. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of, or to delete, any emails we hold from you: write to nourhalawaniapps@gmail.com. You can complain to your data-protection authority. For project data, we hold nothing: delete the project folder and the app to remove it from a device.

9. Children

Soundi is a tool for professional crews and is not directed at children.

10. Changes

We will update this page and its date when anything changes, and say so in the app's release notes.
